About the Role
The Company is seeking a Deputy CEO, Chief Finance & Business Officer to serve as an executive leader and strategic partner, responsible for leading the organization's finance and business administration department. The successful candidate will set and execute the financial and administrative strategy in alignment with the company's mission and goals, ensuring long-term financial health and good stewardship. This role involves overseeing a range of departments, including finance, accounting, procurement, IT, and administration services and requires a deep understanding of financial management, fiscal discipline, and the ability to make decisions that have a significant impact on the organization. The Deputy CEO will also represent the company on financial and business matters to external stakeholders and must be adept at fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 12 years of experience in finance and/or business management. A strong background in leadership, including executive-level experience, and relevant certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CFA are highly valued. The role demands a leader with excellent project management, critical thinking, and analytical skills, who can effectively collaborate across departments and mentor a diverse team. While previous experience in the transit industry is a plus, it is not required. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing the organization's core administrative functions, driving financial and administrative services strategy, and leading the company in achieving its mission and vision.
