Funeral Home Liaison

Job Summary:

The Funeral Home Liaison plans and facilitates activities to increase awareness of whole-body donation and improve relationships with third-party funeral homes, mortuaries, first-call services, and crematories nationwide. Ideal candidates have an interest in communications and marketing to effectively promote our mission and build strong partnerships.

Essential Tasks:

• Research to identify the sources within a geographic area.
• Contact funeral services, first-call services, and mortuaries to inquire about working with MedCure.
• Answer incoming funeral home calls to address questions about whole-body donation.
• Network with our developed funeral home relationships to identify their experience with our program, follow up on any feedback/issues identified, and provide additional education as needed.
• Record contact information and maintain the funeral home contact database.
• Process and mail death certificates received from funeral homes.
• Process invoices received from funeral homes.

Accountability:

The Transport Liaison's actions and decisions directly impact the company’s revenue, operations, and reputation. This role requires independent decision-making within clearly stated standards and guidelines, with a normal level of supervision.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• 3 – 5 years prior experience in funerary services, the health care field, or customer service and coordination.
• Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and data entry.
• Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
