Join Our Team at Busch Funeral and Crematory Services!

Are you a caring, compassionate, and energetic individual seeking a rewarding career? Look no further! We are currently hiring for a full-time position on our Care Center transfer team. As a member of our team, you'll enjoy great benefits and fantastic work-life balance.

Busch Funeral Homes, a fourth-generation family business, has been providing compassionate funeral services to families in Cleveland since 1905. With eight locations on the West Side of Cleveland, we are dedicated to serving our community with care and respect during their time of need. Our 8 locations average a call volume of 1800 a year.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Transfer Team Assistant to join our team at our Parma location. This position requires travel to all locations and use of our company van during travel.

Here's what we offer:

  • Additional Pay for Night Transfers: We value your commitment, especially during on-call nights. You'll receive extra compensation for your dedication and availability.
  • Competitive salary paid on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Parental Leave
  • Excellent Work-Life Balance: We understand the importance of personal time and family commitments. With fair workload distribution, you'll have a healthy work-life balance.
  • Company Van with On-Call Nights: Say goodbye to commuting while on call! Take our company van home during on-call nights, ensuring convenience and ease of access.
  • Great Benefits: We take care of our team members. Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes vacation and sick days, a 401K plan with employer contributions, and medical, dental, and vision coverage. We also provide a company cell phone for work-related communication.

As a Care Center Transfer Team Assistant, you will be primarily responsible for transferring deceased individuals from residences and/or healthcare facilities to our care center. Your role will also involve responding promptly to pages during night on-call shifts and providing backup assistance when needed.

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Communicating with family members, visitors, and clergy, ensuring a compassionate approach.
  • Accepting on-call status and being ready to respond to service requests within 20 minutes, regardless of the location.
  • Skillfully handling death call information, offering comfort, well-being, and guidance to grieving families.
  • Ensuring timely response to the place of death, confirming the identification of the deceased upon arrival.
  • Conducting transfers to the funeral home while maintaining respectful and supportive interactions with families.
  • Collaborating with our team to perform night on-call duties and covering phone attendant responsibilities, as requested.
  • Handling transfer authorizations, coordinating with medical professionals, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Maintaining a clean and disinfected prep room, following all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Assisting with dressing, casketing, and other preparations as instructed by licensed professionals.
  • Contributing to the overall upkeep of the funeral home facilities and community room.
  • Utilizing Passare software proficiently to streamline processes.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license with an insurable driving record.

Join our compassionate team and be part of a rewarding career where you can make a difference in the lives of grieving families.

Apply now and start your journey with us!

Busch is an equal opportunity employer. We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
