A confidential manufacturing organization, specializing in the defense industry, is seeking an experienced Powder Coat Technician to join its team. This role focuses on preparing and finishing metal parts for high-quality powder coating in a modern production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for powder application (hanging, washing, plugging, scrubbing, taping, sanding).
• Perform powder coating and color changeovers to meet quality and efficiency standards.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot coating equipment.
• Inspect finished work and document results per quality procedures.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and continuous improvement efforts.
• Work independently and maintain safe operations in a busy production setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of powder coating or industrial painting experience preferred.
• VantageClear Certification or equivalent required.
• Ability to read blueprints, safety rules, and basic work instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Associate or technical degree a plus.
