We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time 1:1 school nursing position. This role involves bus riding (pickup at 7:00am) and supporting a medically fragile student with a seizure disorder. While primarily 1:1, the nurse may occasionally be asked to assist within the classroom, especially when the student is absent.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct 1:1 nursing support for a student with a seizure disorder.
Administer emergency seizure medication as needed.
Support with G-tube/J-tube/NG tube feedings (bolus and pumps).
Monitor and manage student health throughout the school day, including on bus rides.
Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
Assist in the classroom as appropriate when student is absent.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
At least 1 year of nursing experience .
Pediatric and/or special needs experience required.
Experience with G-tube/J-tube/NG tube care and feedings.
Hands-on experience with seizure management and administration of emergency seizure medication.
Tracheostomy and suctioning skills strongly preferred.
Pay Range: $40$45 per hour (based on experience)
