Job Description – Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Position Type: Travel Contract

Duration: 9 Weeks

Location: Rutland, VT 

Schedule & Shift
  • Shift: Evening Shift (Shift 2)

  • Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Compensation
  • Gross Weekly Pay: $1,910/week

  • W2 Rate: $18/hour

  • Weekly Stipend: $1,190/week

Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care in a long-term care or nursing home setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. This role supports patient safety, comfort, and continuity of care while adhering to clinical standards and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe and compassionate nursing care to residents in a LTC/Nursing Home environment

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and within scope of practice

  • Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment

  • Assist with activities of daily living and patient mobility as needed

  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records

  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (state license required)

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent LPN experience

  • Prior Nursing Home or Long-Term Care (LTC) experience required

  • Current BLS certification

  • Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients throughout the shift

  • Ability to perform nursing duties in a fast-paced clinical environment
