• Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare job)\n
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 7, 2024 – August 6, 2024)\n
• Setting: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU nursing job)\n
• Shift: 5x8 hour day shifts (Monday – Friday)\n
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week\n
• Call Requirement: 1 overnight call per week and every 4th week includes weekend call (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)\n
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910–$2050 per week\n
• Employment Type: Travel RN, W2\n

\n\nPACU RN Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York or compact state\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU or critical care nursing experience\n
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)\n
• ACLS certification preferred\n
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills\n
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation as scheduled\n

\n\nPACU Nurse Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures\n
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, responding promptly to changes in condition\n
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in a clinical setting\n
• Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes\n
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery processes\n
• Maintain accurate, timely nursing documentation\n
• Participate in overnight and weekend call rotations as required for PACU nursing jobs\n
