Job Title: Research Nurse (Weekend Night Shift)Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Research Nurse to join our clinical trials team. This position involves working on a straight weekend night shift from Friday to Sunday, 6pm to 6am CST. Schedules are typically set 2-3 weeks in advance. The Research Nurse will be responsible for overseeing study unit activities, focusing on the safety and welfare of study participants.
Responsibilities
Enroll patients into clinical trials, ensuring informed consent by educating and explaining study procedures to participants.
Utilize nursing skills, knowledge, and clinical judgment to provide high-quality care for clinical trial participants.
Conduct nursing assessments to observe participant well-being and potential adverse events.
Document adverse events and take necessary actions.
Perform study-related activities such as cannulation, telemetry, holters, vital signs, ECGs, and venipuncture.
Collect and process biological samples according to protocols and standard operating procedures.
Record data accurately and in a timely manner as per protocols and standard operating procedures.
Transcribe source data onto Case Report Forms.
Essential Skills
Registered Nurse (RN) - Active and in Good Standing in Wisconsin.
Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing (ASN or BSN).
0-3 years of nursing experience in a patient-facing setting.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with 0-3 years of nursing experience, Active and in Good Standing in Wisconsin.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience with clinical research is preferred.
CPR and ACLS Certifications are advantageous.
Work Environment
The candidate will work in a Phase I Clinical Research Unit located in Madison, WI. This position offers an excellent opportunity for RNs and LPNs to gain experience and training in the clinical research field, with room for advancement. Extensive training in clinical research and study-specific training are provided.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
