We are seeking an outstanding synthetic medicinal chemist to play a key role in advancing preclinical discovery within our Glyph platform. The scientist will be responsible for designing, synthesizing, and characterizing novel lipid prodrugs. The ideal candidate will foster a collaborative, innovative culture aligned with our values of service, ownership, scientific excellence, and team happiness. Key Responsibilities Design new prodrugs based on data analysis Plan and execute synthetic routes for new prodrugs Manage CRO-based discovery chemistry teams Coordinate workflows for in vitro and in vivo assessment of prodrugs Analyze data and present scientific findings Execute research projects independently, supporting company goals Participate in team meetings, contribute to reports, publications, patents, and regulatory filings Required Experience PhD in synthetic organic chemistry or equivalent + 5-8 years industry experience in biotech/pharma Published scientific achievements and/or patent inventorship Experience managing CRO-based synthesis Desirable: lipid chemistry, prodrug chemistry, bioconjugation, ADC chemistry Valued: ADME/pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics knowledge Motivated, results-driven, with excellent communication and collaboration skills Startup experience and adaptability to changing priorities Ability to work onsite in Boston 3-4 days/week Additional Details Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Research, Analysis, and IT #J-18808-Ljbffr Seaport Therapeutics
